What a wonderful combination of the natural traits of human Femininity and Divinity intimately integrated with the tree of knowledge springing forth from her mind while the forbidden fruit is held so prominently before her heart. Love the precise symmetry at the bottom of the image becoming more random and unformatted at the top and how the aspects of a growing plant bleed down into the human form at the root. i wonder if that is the suggestion of something serpentine just there at the elbow of her left arm.

Thank you so much for your feedback! Your insight is very beautiful, but actually the figure is a male. The slender appearance is that of someone very malnourished. To tell you the truth, I never made the connection of the apple to being the forbidden fruit and the tree the tree of knowledge, however that's a very interesting allusion. Honestly, the figure in full lotus is more representative of Buddhism and enlightenment.

Thank you much for the insights, love to know what foundations lie under the imagery. You may well knock me up side the head; but, i can make a connection to all of the religious philosophies in my own way and so can see a translation of your Buddhism/ Enlightenment message and the forbidden fruit/knowledge tree theme coming to mean mostly the same thing. I did not see the figure being a boy though, and making a connection between a he and she in such things is a gulf my mind cannot bridge.

Your thoughts open a door to a whole new realm of fascinations for me to ponder and i thank you much for this. i can enjoy your work once more and look for an entirely new set of meanings now that you have given me the crutch of your gracious words. Great great stuff.
